This is simple tips and tricks to use PIP (picture in picture) mode at XIAOMI MI A1. When the first time release in the market, XIAOMI MI A1 use Android Nougat as factory default operating system. After several weeks in the public market, this phone start get Android Oreo version 8.0 upgrade. The firmware update of XIAOMI MI A1 can be done using OTA (over the air). We just need to make sure that Wifi connection is active before process the upgrade upgrade, because our XIAOMI MI A1 will download big firmware files.
After our XIAOMI MI A1 finish get firmware update, then XIAOMI MI A1 will have Android Oreo operating system. This phone can work with several features including Picture in Picture feature. But please note, this feature is not active by default, we need to activate from menu Setting.
How to Activate PIP (Picture in Picture) Features at XIAOMI MI A1 / ANDROID ONE?
- Turn on XIAOMI MI A1
- Please go toSettings > Apps & notifications > Advanced > Special app access
- Choose Picture-in-picture
- Then choose which apps that can work with Picture in Picture
- After applications chosen, then turn on the PIP with Allow picture-in-picture options
Now we can use several apps that to work together with Picture in Picture (PIP) features at our XIAOMI MI A1. Please note, we need to use supported apps to make PIP can work at our Xiaomi Mi A1 smartphone. We can see from the list when we open Picture-in-picture special apps access for installed apps.
