Hello. I've got a little problem regarding my xperia p. Walkman app won't recognize my downloaded mp3 songs thought the songs are still stored in the file manager. I tried accessing the internal storage through computer but the computer won't show the files inside the inter storage of my xperia p. Please help. I tried USB debugging and it still won't work.

  Hi, you can try to download other MP3 player from Google Play Store to test playing that files. You can also try to clean data and cache at your Walkman applications to setup all setting back to factory default. Please open menu Setting > Apps > choose ALL, and find Walkman, push button to Clear data and Clear cache.

Hi i am getting Process system is not responding in my Xperia P and i got two option like force close or wait under it every time , regardless of which option i choose, my Xperia P automatically reboot itself on and on and continuously does that every time i turn it on. I can no longer use it normally because it suddenly shuts down itself then will automatically turns on then a few seconds it happens again (it keeps on restating by himself). I found this page and I tried resetting it and did all mentioned steps above on this page but it does not work for me. My PC does not even recognize this phone anymore. What should i do?

  Hi, usually your kind of problems happen because an or some applications can not work properly and make your phone need to time to wait for running that apps, but because the process can not done then your Sony Xperia P become restart by itself. You have done the right consideration to do hard reset or reformat this phone. Actually using PC Companion is really recommended if you can not performing hard reset using hardware button combination key. But if your PC can not recognize the phone driver, then you have to try change with other computer, mostly if you use computer with Windows 7 operating system with Internet connection, then that computer will find the correct driver to Internet after your phone connected with USB drive, please try again carefully.

My xperia P was frozen and i when i press hard reset buttons combination it turns off and never turns on later..
i tried all combinations with buttons, with wall charger and with usb on pc.. when i connect phone on charger/usbpc red light is on for about few minutes and that it turns off.. phone still doesnt want to turn on.. pc companion doesnt recognize it.. i was never do anything on mobile just official update when it prompt to me in phone..

  Hi, basically your problems can be solve by doing hard reset using PC Companion, but the problem of non recognizing phone is the main trouble, so you need to make sure your computer can detect your phone first by several posibility, first try to use other computer with Windows 7 or more operating system and connect to Internet, after that connect your phone to PC Companion using USB cable, usually Windows 7 computer will find automatically the driver from Internet. The second try is download the driver by find using Google with keyword 'download sony xperia driver' then you will find several web for driver, but we recommended driver from XDA Developer community, but maybe some other link can also help. After your computer detect the Xperia P, then please follow the steps to reformat or reinstall the firmware to your Sony Xperia P using PC Companion.

  Hi, it seems that you have install some applications that setup to attach something at notification drop down menu, but that applications crash every you try to dropdown the menu. We hope you still can access setting menu from applications list in your home desktop, find setting menu icon. If you still can not solve the problem, then you have to do hard reset or master format. Please remember to do backup all important data before doing hard reset.

  Hi, please make sure your Sony Xperia P is not at flight mode or airplane mode. Check it from menu Setting > More > disable Airplane mode. If that mode has already disabled, then please test your phone with different GSM simcard.

Hello sir, myself venkat from Hyderabad,India. I've rooted my xperia p lt22i as per the instructions given in the sony website. it says it is rooted successfully, when i check through rootchecker or superuser app, the app says it is not rooted. i've done almost 4 times, but the same result. what i've to do, i just want to root my phone because of my previous phone testing results. i've successfully tested cynogen11 in my sony ericsson walkman wt19i, so i want to test it my sony xperia p. it is good in configuration and very much faster than other phone ie., micromax.
pls help me in this rooting issue.

  Hi, unfortunately we can not give good answer for any rooted steps or install custom rom or doing other non standard tweak at your Sony Xperia P. Please do it carefully because some wrong steps can make your phone can not work normally. Some other community maybe can give help for rooted steps.

Sir , I did master reset to my Xperia P through software menu. battery was 100% and now I am waiting for last 2 hours.screen is blank and three lights of transparent bar are illuminating.please tell me is there something wrong and how much time it normally takes for master reset?

  Hi, if you not success doing hard reset using software menu, then please follow steps to reflash or reformat your Sony Xperia P using PC Companion. Please donwload PC Companion applications from Sony official website, install it at your PC computer which use Microsoft Windows operating system (Win Xp/Win 7/Win 8+), prepare the USB cable and follow steps at #Option 4 above carefully.

My phone doesn't have screen lock pattern or pin code you just have to slide of the screen to unlock it. One day it shuts down for a few minutes and the when the screen came on it is now asking me a pin code or lock code which I don't have. Mine is a xperia P. Any idea how to fix this, hard reset is not doing anything.

  Hi, if you have never activated lock screen at Sony Xperia P, then your phone will show slide to unlock the screen, but if suddenly your phone ask for pin code, maybe it is about your GSM simcard pin. Please try to remove GSM simcard, and turn your phone again without simcard to make sure that lock code belongs to phone or GSM simcard.

  Hi, there are some possibilities after your Sony Xperia P dropped. Maybe the LCD screen is broken so your phone can not show anything, but you still can have light indicator while connect to charger. the second possibilities is maybe your motherboard of Sony Xperia P broken so nothing happen although you connect it to charger. Please bring your Sony Xperia P to Sony authorize service center for further test.
