  • Hi, you can try to manually backup all contact at SONY XPERIA TIPO ST21i with default contact application, and choose Manage Contact, and do export contact to simcard or phone storage. If you choose to backup contact to phone storage, after finish do the backup, please copy new created the contact files from storage to other locations (maybe copy to PC computer hard drive).

    If you already sure that backup contact files already move to your computer, then you can easily do next step to hard reset SONY XPERIA TIPO ST21i. After finish doing hard reset, try to import the files from storage (if the files still there) with default contact application.

    Other option to backup, you can try to download good rating contact backup applications from Google Play Store, and follow the instructions to backup and restore contact with safety step.

  • Hi, the ram at SONY XPERIA TIPO can not added more, it is already manufacture with 512MB RAM, but I think this RAM still ok to run Android applications like Chat or Email or Browsing or Gaming or something like that. Usually something that can make your smartphone become slowly becuase there are a lot of background process applications. You should check under setting > apps, and uninstall the not use applications there to make it run more faster.

  • Hi, it seem that you already root your Sony Xperia Tipo, please becareful to do anything while the phone already rooted, because you can brick your phone or make something wrong with tweaking. If you can not install any launcher or can not access to install any other apk, better your do hard reset to reinstall clean default Android operating system, and all default applications including default launcher will be reinstall completely.

  • If you only root,but no change on the official unlock bootloader,you can use the Sony Update Service,find it in the Sonymobile.com.

    If already unlock,use flashtool to flash the unlock bootloader.ftf first,then use Update Service.Or download the official firmware ftf and then flash it directly.

  • Hi, if your phone is locked, you can try to restore or unlock or bypass with Google account username and password using Forget Password / Pattern Button, sometime the button not appear, so you should do several time wrong answer for forgotten question until the phone freeze and the Forget Password / Pattern Button appear, press that to bypass with Google account.

    But if you can not access Google account then you should try to hard reset your phone with other options. If you can not do with flashtools, you can also try to hard reset or format Sony Xperia Tipo with download PC Companion applications from your computer. This steps are available at #options 3 above, you can follow the steps from download, and install the PC Companion, after that you need to connect your XPERIA TIPO start from Off state, then press the button like what the PC Companion said at computer the screen.

  • Hi, you can try several to stop Google Picasa auto upload or auto backup pictures from your Sony Xperia Tipo. First you can try to remove the account from Menu Setting > Account > Google > choose your Gmail Account, finish it by remove the check mark at Picasa or Google Photo checkbox. The other alternative is try to uninstall the Picasa application from your Sony Xperia Tipo, then the auto update will be stop as well.

  • Hi, you can try to bypass or unlock forgotten password using Gmail username and password that you have already signed in at the first time use Sony Xperia Tipo. Try to give several time wrong answer, then the phone will be freeze or locked for 30 seconds, at this time you will find Forgot Password button, press this button then you will find field to type your username and password of Google account. If you can not access Google account, then you have to do hard reset or master format with hardware button like steps at #Option 4 above or use PC Companion with computer for doing hard reset.

  • Hi, it seems that your Sony Xperia Tipo need to sign in with Google account / Gmail account. Please give your Gmail username and password. If you can not access Gmail account then we have to know at what positions you are now. If the problem because of screen lock protections, then you need to hard reset with hardware button key or PC Companion. If the problem because you can not access Google Play Store or some other Google facility at your Sony Xperia then you have to recovery the password, we suggest use browser at Computer. Or you can create new Gmail account to use at your Sony Xpria Tipo.
