Easy Way to Backup & Restore OPPO A56 Contact, Chat, Data, Picture, SMS

Tips for backup all important data at OPPO A56 such as contact, photos, videos, text messaging, chatting history, downloaded files and some other more. Some users does not know about how important to have backup files. This backup files will be very important to safe our data when this phone lost or hardware broken.

OPPO A56  is 6.5″ Android smartphone with MediaTek MT6833 processor. It has big internal memory with 128 GB. The MicroSDXC slot can be use for backup destination because it has external memory slot. If we do not have MicroSD card, then we have to use cloud backup. Android 11 is ready to use when we open this phone from the box. There are some built-in features that will do auto backup on OPPO A56, but we have to make sure that features are working properly.

OPPO A56 has single front camera 8 MP and dual rear cameras with 13 MP for wide + 2 MP for depth of field. All photos videos also need to backup at safe locations. We will give simple solutions to backup all historical and important photos videos to cloud storage server for free using Google Photos automatically.

There are some applications that already store their data on the cloud, like Facebook or Instagram or Gmail and some other more, we can skip to backup some applications like this.

Please note, some menu maybe different because of firmware Android upgrade to latest version

Simple BACKUP & RESTORE Procedure On OPPO A56:

On most Oppo smartphone, we can find Oppo backup and restore procedure with simple one click steps:

  1. Turn on OPPO A56
  2. Open Menu Setting > Additional Settings > Backup and Reset (on some version goto Settings > About Phone)
  3. Please choose to turn on Back up my data option
  4. If we need to add Google / Gmail account, then click Add account
  5. Please choose to turn on Automatic Restore option
  6. For Create New Backup: please click Backup & Restore menu, then click Create new backup button
  7. Choose select all data to backup and press Start backup button, then choose Back up to phone storage or Back up to external storage
  8. For Restore Backup Data: On steps no.6, we will see list of backup data that we have been created before, then choose which date we want to restore
  9. Make sure all data that we want to restore is selected, then click Start Restoring
  10. Wait until all data finish restoring on OPPO A56

 

Manual BACKUP & RESTORE Procedure for OPPO A56:

Login With Google Account to Backup Contact or Phone Book at OPPO A56

Almost all of us will have many contact or phonebook data at OPPO A56 which are very important for our activity. We have to backup all important data at safety location. One important thing when use Android, that we can synchronize our contact data to Google account, what we have to do is make sure our phone already sign in with our personal Google account.

After login with Google account, by default this phone will automatically synchronize or backup data to Google cloud server, so we will have 2 phonebook storage, one is on our OPPO A56 and the other one store at https://contacts.google.com. Please check that address to make sure all data already backup at Google server.

Bellow are the steps to check that our OPPO A56 already backup to Google cloud server:

  1. Turn on OPPO A56
  2. Open Menu Settings > Users & Account > Google , make sure your Gmail account already setup
  3. If we need to add Google / Gmail account, then click Add account
  4. Please see at our account, and make sure the Sync is ON

 

How to Backup Phone Book or Contact at OPPO A56 Manually to SDCard Memory?

Beside having backup at Google cloud for our contact, we can also backup or export our contact or phonebook at OPPO A56 using Export menu at Contacts menu.

  1. Turn on OPPO A56
  2. Open applications: Contacts
  3. Choose all contact to backup: Contacts > Menu > Export contacts
  4. Choose Export to storage / SD card
  5. The filename of exported file will be show to tell us where the exported file is
  6. Finish backup contact OPPO A56 to memory card

 

How to Backup Picture/Photo OPPO A56 ?

Photo also important to backup because with good camera quality at OPPO A56, we will have many important pictures for special moment. There are several option to backup our media like Photo and Pictures to several location, the easier step is backup our media to external microSD memory card. But for this step we need to prepare our MicroSD card first and insert it into memory card slot at our OPPO A56.

Backup or Copy to External Memory Card:

  1. Turn on OPPO A56
  2. Open Home Screen
  3. Find and run File Manage / File Commander
  4. Choose Internal storage, we will see many  folders
  5. Press and hold one folder for select, after one folder selected, we will see menu at bellow
  6. Choose Select all at menu bellow
  7. Choose Copy (or move, but better use copy to reduce the missing files)
  8. Choose Menu > SD Card
  9. Choose the new folder that we want to copy that files
  10. Choose Paste
  11. Please make sure check manually at microSD folder that all files already copied

Backup or Copy at Computer:

  1. Turn on OPPO A56
  2. Connect OPPO A56 with computer using USB data cable
  3. Make sure computer can connect to OPPO A56 memory card (otherwise, try to slide down the notifications area from OPPO A56, choose to connect USB as media)
  4. If the computer already able to read OPPO A56 phone data, then use computer File Explorer to open the DCIM folders at OPPO A56, copy all folder or files to specific location at our computer
  5. If everything finish, please try to open all images from our computer to make sure all data already backup or export or copy without problem

Backup Photo / Videos of OPPO A56 to Google Photos Cloud Storage:

  1. Turn on OPPO A56
  2. Make sure we have installed Google Photos applications from Google Play Store
  3. Open Google Photos applications from OPPO A56
  4. Choose Setting at Google Photos applications: Setting > Backup & sync (turn in on)
  5. At Backup & sync menu, please choose our Google backup account
  6. At Backup & sync menu, please choose Upload Size to High quality (for more files to backup with less file-size)
  7. By default the photos and videos will backup to unlimited Google Photos backup when our OPPO A56 connected to Wifi

 

Restore Procedure for OPPO A56

Restore Back Backup Contact From Google Account at OPPO A56

If we reformat or hard reset OPPO A56, all data will be removed or wiped, so we need to restore back all contact to OPPO A56. This is how to restore:

  1. Turn on OPPO A56
  2. Go to Menu Settings > Users & Account > Google
  3. Add our Google or Gmail account
  4. In the first time, we can force Sync contact to restore Contacts from Google server to our OPPO A56
  5. Make sure Sync is on for keep synchronize our contact to Google cloud server

 

Restore Back Backup Contact From SD Card / MicroSD to OPPO A56

  1. Turn on OPPO A56
  2. Choose Contacts
  3. Choose Menu from Contacts > Import Contact
  4. Choose Import from storage / SD card
  5. Choose the place that we can save our contact
  6. Choose Import vCard file

  1. Install Google Photos to our OPPO A56
  2. Choose Setting at Google Photos applications: Setting > Backup & sync (turn in on)
  3. Login previous Google account to our Google Photos applications.
  4. Wait for several moment when our OPPO A56 connected to Wifi, then our photos and videos will be restored to our phone.
